Volvo is a Swedish car manufacturer that is known for developing luxurious and reliable cars. The Volvo S60 is the latest offering of the company in the D+ segment. This car is expected to be made available in the Indian market around period of December 2010 to January 2011. The car manufacturer hopes to sell around 9000 units of this car in the first year of its launching.
Volvo S60 Specification
The Volvo S60 review indicates that the car will be available with 3L, 6-cylinder turbocharged engine. This engine will be able to deliver power of 304 bhp. The other engine options include 2.0L turbo four cylinder engine which would be able to generate 203 bhp while the 5 cylinder diesel engines will be able to deliver power of 205 bhp and 163 bhp.
The length of the car is 4603mm and its width is 1560mm while its height is 1428mm. The car will be able to seat 5 individuals and will have front and rear stabiliser bar suspension. The car will have front ventilated and rear disk brake system.
Volvo S60 Mileage
The car is expected to deliver mileage of 9.5 km/litre in the city while the mileage on the highway is expected to be around 13.2 km/litre.
Volvo S60 Interiors
The interiors of the car are expected to be as classy as its exquisite exterior design. The car will have air conditioner with climate control feature. The car will also have power windows with remote central locking feature. The driver’s seat of the car can be adjusted electrically. The rear armrest will have cup holder. The car will have leather seats along with MP3/CD player system. The steering wheel of the car will be adjustable for rake and reach and controls will be mounted on the steering wheel.
Volvo S60 Safety features
The car is expected to have state of art safety features. These include detection of unexpected hurdles along with pedestrian detection system. The car is expected to have airbags and seatbelts along with anti lock brake system and electronic brake force distribution feature.
Volvo S60 Price and design variations
The price of the car is expected to be around Rs 35 lakhs to Rs 37 lakhs. The car will be available in two design variations in India and these include Volvo S60 2.4i and Volvo S60 D5.
