Ford Motors in known the world over for designing cars with excellent features delivering powerful performance. The Ford Mondeo was initially launched in India in 2004 but was not well received as the design was not suited to the Indian road conditions. After that experience the company made changes in the car and improvised it so that it would deliver powerful performance on the Indian roads.
Ford Mondeo Specification
The Ford Mondeo review indicates that the car will be equipped with a 2000cc, 4-cylinder petrol engine. This engine will be able to generate maximum power of 142 bhp at 6000 rpm along with peak torque of 200 Nm at 2500 rpm. This Duratec engine will have electronic fuel injection feature and this will be able to deliver powerful performance on different road conditions.
The car will be able to seat 5 individuals and will have power steering. The brake system of the car will include front ventilated along with rear disk brakes. The car will have 5 manual gears. The kerb weight of the car is 1358 kgs and its fuel tank capacity is 59 litres. The suspension system include McPherson strut for front with multi link rear suspension.
Ford Mondeo Mileage
The car is expected to deliver mileage of around 8km/litre in the city while the mileage on the highway is expected to be around 11.6 km/litre.
Ford Mondeo Interiors
The design of the car is well balanced and the interiors of the car compliment the design. The seats are made of leather alcantara and both driver as well as front occupant seats can be power adjusted for height. The car has power steering with tilt adjusting feature. The car also has automatic temperature controller with airconditioner having electronic climate controller device. The audio system in the car includes radio supported 6 CD changer system and the audio controls are mounted on the steering wheel.
Ford Mondeo Safety features
The car has several safety features and these include side airbags, front dual stage airbags and anti lock brake system. The car has electronic stability program and electronic brake force distribution feature.
Ford Mondeo Price and design variations
The car is expected to cost around Rs 14 to Rs 18 lakhs. The car will be available in a single design variation.
