Hyundai i30 Review

The Hyundai i30 is a car that will be launched following the huge success of Hyundai i10 and i20 versions in India. This five door hatchback has been designed in Germany by the European team of Hyundai. This car will be made available in India in both petrol as well as diesel options. The car like its predecessors is extremely stylish, spacious and is packed with excellent features.

The car has a 1396cc, 4-cylinder petrol engine with DOHC feature. The engine can generate maximum power of 107.5 bhp at 6200 rpm and the maximum torque is 137.2 NM at 5000 rpm. The car is 4245 mm long and the width of the car is 1775 mm while its height is 1480 mm. This makes parking the car quite an easy activity. The car can seat 5 individuals comfortably.
The suspension system of the car includes independent Mcpherson strut and the car has a turning circle of 5.36 metres. The boot space of the car is 340 litres and it also has tilt steering feature. The car has 5 manual gears along with front and rear disk brake system. The kerb weight of the car is 1293 kgs. The gears can be shifted with complete ease and the car will also have an option of automatic transmission.
The suspension of the car is decent and brakes are responsive. A few bumps can be felt in bad road conditions and this has more to do with its lightweight rather than any problems in suspension. Driving the car on smooth roads is a delightful experience.

The mileage of the car is stated to be approximately 8 km/litre in the city and its mileage on the highway is around 12 km/litre.

The interiors of the car are extremely good looking and the car has features that make it extremely functional. The instrument display in the car has two large dials and these include tachometer and speedometer. The seats of the car are quite comfortable with requisite cushioning. The steering wheel is leather wrapped and the plastics used in the dashboard are soft to touch and have good texture and feel.
The rear seats are also quite comfortable and the car provides decent legroom as well as headroom for its occupants. The car has facility wherein iPod can be plugged and played directly through its interface and it also has audio controls that are mounted on the steering.

The car has several advanced safety features and some of the features include dual front as well as side curtain airbags. The car is equipped with antilock brake system, seatbelt reminder feature and seatbelt pretensioning. The car also has electronic stability program and electronic brake force distribution. Traction control is another feature that gives the car an edge over some of its competitors.
Hyundai i30 Price and design variations
The car will be priced between Rs 9 lakhs to around Rs 12 lakhs. The design variations of the car include Hyundai i30 Asta and Hyundai i30 Magna.
Hyundai i30 Colors
The car will be available in 5 colors and these include continental silver, shine red, stone black, vivid blue and steel grey.
