Mitsubishi will be launching a new car in the multi utility vehicle segment. The Mitsubishi Grandis is expected to be launched in India around October 2010. The company aims to seamlessly integrate versatility together with extremely stylish design that will deliver top class performance on a consistent basis.
Mitsubishi Grandis Specification
The Mitsubishi Grandis review indicates that the car comes with a 1968cc diesel engine and this can deliver power of 134 bhp at 4000 rpm along with torque of 310 Nm at 1750 rpm. The engine is mated with 6-speed manual gear transmission. The top speed of the car is 200 km/hr and it can reach 0 to 100 km/ hr in 10 seconds.
The length of the car is 4770mm and its width is 1800 mm while its height is 1660mm. The kerb weight of the car is 1690 kgs and it has front disk and rear drum brake system. The car is a 7 seater and has good grip with excellent stability and good body control. The ride quality of the car is exceptional and the suspension is smooth so as to allow absorption of rough surfaces with ease.
Mitsubishi Grandis Mileage
According to reports the car can be expected to deliver mileage of 10 km/litre in the city while the mileage on the highway is expected to be around 14 km/litre.

Like its exterior the interior also has a modern feel to it and the controls on the dash are located in a manner so as to allow easy accessibility. The dials light up in blue during the night and the accessories are also of high quality. The car has a hide & seat layout for the third row and this flips out from the floor with ease. Other features include air conditioner and climate control. The car has MP3 compatible CD player, leather steering wheel, height adjustable driver’s seat and top end variant of the car has 8” DVD entertainment system along with specially designed leather seats. It must be seen how many of these features make their way in the car introduced in the Indian market.
Mitsubishi Grandis Safety features
The car has several safety features and these include antilock brake system, front as well as side airbags for driver and passenger, curtain airbags for front and second row and electronic brake force distribution feature.
Mitsubishi Grandis Price and design variations
The price of the car is expected to be around Rs 15 lakhs and the car will be available in a single variant in Indian market.

The colors in which the car will be available are not known as yet.
